Marquee takes the stage at Israeli football’s first tech and business conference

Hapoel “IBI” Tel Aviv hosted its Business & Technology Conference at Bloomfield Stadium on May 7, the first event of its kind in Israeli football, organized with Israel Hayom and bringing together more than 400 founders, executives, investors and sports professionals. Marquee sponsored the conference and joined its closing panel on sports technology.
Dror Rosenfeld, Co-Founder and COO of Marquee, shared the stage with GainGuard’s Tamir Rahamim and EasyCoach’s Gabby Barzilay for a session on turning data into AI-driven insight, covering how AI is changing the way clubs think, work and make decisions.

On stage, Marquee demonstrated what that looks like in practice: asking concrete footballing questions in natural language and getting decision-ready answers, from which striker target fits best alongside a club’s current attacking players to how a coach could approach a specific opponent’s defensive setup in a one-off final. Israel Hayom’s coverage of the conference singled out the shift these tools represent: data is not replacing the scout, it is replacing the scout who cannot explain why he is right.
“The most encouraging part of the day was the quality of the questions from the room. Israeli football is not debating whether to use data anymore, it is asking how to use it well,” said Dror Rosenfeld, Co-Founder and COO of Marquee.
