FAQ

The questions clubs ask.

Do we have to replace our existing data providers?

No. Marquee sits on top of the stack you already trust: your event data, tracking, video, scouting providers, and internal reports. You keep what works. You just stop paying the tax of having it scattered across twelve tools.

Marquee also works without any of it. The platform reads event, physical, off-the-ball and financial data on its own, so a club that connects nothing still gets scored shortlists, 360 reports and market alerts from day one. Connecting your own stack and your internal knowledge enriches every output and tunes it further to your context.

What data does Marquee bring, and what do we bring?

Both matter, and they do different jobs. Your providers hold the depth in their own domains, and your internal reports hold what only your club knows. Marquee brings its own licensed coverage across event, physical, off-the-ball and financial data, connects all of it, and scores the result against your club rather than a market average. Nothing gets switched off. The value is in what the sources say together.

Can we bring our own internal grades and scout reports in?

Yes. Internal reports, scout grades and your own notes sit alongside external data in the same view, and they can carry weight in the analysis. The knowledge your department has built stays yours and starts working harder.

Where does each insight come from?

Every insight is grounded in retrieved data and traceable back to it. Marquee explains what the numbers mean rather than asserting a conclusion, and where the evidence is thin, it says so.

Does Marquee tell us who to sign?

No. Marquee does the assembly, the scoring and the context. The judgment stays with the people who are paid to make it. The point is to get your expertise to the decision faster, not to make the decision for you.

Who owns our data?

You do. Your data stays yours, and it is never used to train models for anyone else. What your club knows stays your competitive edge.

How is our data secured?

Every club is an isolated tenant with encrypted storage, so nothing crosses between clubs. Marquee is SOC 2 compliant.

Could a rival club see our data, or get the same recommendations?

No on both. Tenancy isolation means no club can see another club's data. And because every output is scored against your sporting DNA, two clubs running the same search get different answers. Your context is what makes the answer yours.

What competitions do you cover?

Over 90 competitions worldwide, expanding continuously.

What happens when our manager or our targets change?

Marquee re-tunes. Sporting DNA is not set once at onboarding. When the style of play shifts, the budget moves or the targets change, the platform moves with the club rather than holding it to a profile it has outgrown.

Why not build this in-house?

It costs over $2.5M a year in engineering and specialist hires to build what Marquee already runs, plus a year or two before the first answer arrives, and permanent maintenance after that. Marquee is live in your club within a week, and leaves your data team free to build the models only your club would build. If you have already built parts of this, Marquee is data-agnostic and sits on top of what exists.
